27-1-2009 - 40 weeks pregnant/ Past due date/ Prenatal visit!

My mood while writing this blog:
Sleepy But Blessed!!

Okay so I am 40 weeks pregnant! Today is my due date, and no Muffin girl as of yet! Today I went to visit my OB GYN and although she is familiar with my past history I have decided that when I get pregnant again, I will not allow her to be my doctor. HOWEVER- Muffin girl heart beat was excellent and I my cervix is CLOSED. I honestly that I would have been dilated by now because I walk EVERY SINGLE day and I've had sex although sex right now is very uncomfortable when, I've had sex. To make a LONG story short my doctor said if I don't have her by this week when I see her, Monday she will give me papers to take to the hospital so I can be INDUCED! YIKES!! I am scared of being induced!! However, I know that she can't stay in there forever. Lamar is frustrated because, he wants to spend as much time with her before he leaves for boot camp, but like i told him we are her parents, and we do things our way, so I figure that she will come when she wants to. I honestly did not think she would be born in February, but as long as she is healthy I am happy. My doctor informed me that I have had a healthy pregnancy...which makes me feel blessed. Through out all my aches and pains and complaints I know I am blessed because I have been on the other side of losing, and asking why. I try to remember that when I feel as much discomfort as, I do right now that I am blessed!! Sooo....to all the ladies TTC...I pray for sticky baby dust your way!! For those like myself labor dust all the way!! Toa ll the new mommies...CONGRADS!

I have only experienced preterm labor, so I cannot relate. But I imagine it would be a little frustrating. But as you know, they come when they are ready. Lots of Labor Dust to you!!!!

I was due on Feb 3rd for my son and was over due too. I was scheduled to be induced on Feb13th and actually ended up going into labor in the wee hours on the 12th. So you might be at your due date but you could go at any moment.

Hey Beauti,
Well I hope she just comes naturally and you wont have to be induced. I honestly thought you were either at the hospital in labor or you would have been feeling some sort of serious contractions by now. Well just know that even if your induced its for the best its not good to be to overdue because the plactea and everything else in there starts to get old after the due date so its best if they had to induce to just induce. Well I hope that she arrives shortly and that your labor goes wonderful for both the proud mama and papa.

Aww congrats on making it to 40 weeks. I hope she comes soon but it will definitely be on when she is ready.I am sure something will probably happen this weekend. Good luck and have a safe delivery

Try not to be afraid of induction, I've done it twice now and both times were great for me. Labor Dust for you!!!

I was really nervous and scared when they told me that I was being induced. I mean the pitocin does suck, but it wasn't a bad experience. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat...I miss being pregnant lol. Hopefully you will have your baby before they want to induce you...I hope everything works out...GoodLuck:)

well i definately know how you feel being over due!! but your right, she cant stay in there forever!!! im scared to be induced also but im so ready to just get it over with!!! i also find sex very uncomfortable and i too walk EVERY day!! so whats the deal!?!? LOL

GOOD LUCK! I can imagine how you feel, Im only in week 23 and want to meet my lil baby boy already. Question for you, do you know when your last cycle was and when is/was you due date? 1/27/09? I ask because most recent births I've heard of were 3 weeks early. And as a prediction we are thinking our son will come sooner than May 23rd which is my due date. You have any info.?
AND I must say good luck and well wishes on your princess' delivery!
