21-1-2009 - 3rd Antenatal Class (33 weeks)

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I had my 3rd class today. This time it was with the Health Visitor, as well as the Midwife and Physio. The session focused on breastfeeding and we were given a big information pack to refer to once baby arrives (which is just as well, because I think I've forgotten most of the stuff already..pregnancy brain has really set in!) A Mum of an 8 week old little one (second baby) came in to talk to us about her experiences of breastfeeding, which was interesting..plus her baby was sooooooo cute!!

Other than the classes, not a lot going on in my life at the moment! I started my maternity leave last week, although it feels like years ago! I'm so bored! Still have a few things to pick up for baby but just don't have any energy at the moment! Sleeping isn't fun anymore - anyone else finding that their hips / legs become so painful with lying on the side? I have a V-shaped pillow that I put between my legs and under my bump but I still wake up in agony..Oh well, not too long to go now! Baby is moving around lots, some of the movements are quite uncomfortable, especially when he/she decides that my bladder is a punchbag! A couple of nights ago, I was lying on my side and a hand or a foot kept poking out and raising my tummy by a good inch or two! Can't believe how strong he/she is! I'm half expecting a green, muscle-clad monster to arrive in 6 weeks time!
