Grrr at hospitals!!
Had a phonecall from my Midwife this afternoon - She has only just found out that the bloods I had taken at my 28 week appointment (7 WEEKS AGO!!!) show that I am slightly slow on iron. How it can take that long to process, I really don't know!! I'm not dangerously low - apparently they like your levels to be over 10.5 and mine are 10..so not the end of the world BUT the unit I am hoping to deliver at will only take low-risk pregnancies with an iron count of over 10.5. I've been prescribed Pregaday (sp?) which I'll go and pick up tomorrow and start taking straight away. Hopefully I'll go up by 0.5 in the next 3-5 weeks!!
Deary me. I have no idea what they get up to in the labs!

Hi,
My iron levels came out slightly low too, 10.2, whereaas the doc wants it to be over 11.5. Plus I throw up my iron pill regularly so she changed it to a new one. Hope this works. And she told me to eat green vegetables and apples. What a party! :-)
