18-6-2009 - Ben 8 - 12 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

I haven't sat down + managed to write for a while so here goes..

At 8 weeks, Ben started watching himself in the mirror..with a very confused expression on his face! He had his first set of injections that week + didn't seem to react too badly! Although I gave him a spoon of Calpol, just in case! That knocked him out for the night. I think he enjoyed it!

The day before he turned 9 weeks, we moved him from the moses basket to the cot. He had outgrown his moses basket sooner than we thought he would! I kept waking up + finding his face in the side of the basket. Scared the hell out of me!! He took to the cot really well. I have to put him in a Grobag otherwise he ends up kicking his sheets off. Somehow the little rascal manages to turn himself 180 degrees in the cot! We'll wake up to him with his head where his feet were. Bizarre!

When Ben was 11 weeks the Health Visitor asked if I would mind talking to an antenatal class about breastfeeding. I wasn't sure if I was the right person to promote breastfeeding, given the problems we have had but I did it anyway. I think I did an okay job of turning everything into a positive..hope so anyway!

He began to stare at his feet at 11 weeks. He will move them really fast + just look at them in amazement. What it must be like to be a baby..everything is new. So lovely!

At 12 weeks he had his first bath in the BIG bath! He looked so lost in it, bless him. But he loves bathtime. Plus its an excuse for me to get the rubber ducks + toys out. Oh dear. My phone crapped up + I lost 93 pictures of Ben at 11 weeks. I was so upset!!! I made up for it though because all I have done since is take s**t-loads of photos!

8 weeks	12lb 11oz
10 weeks	13lb 11oz
12 weeks	14lb 14oz (Length 64.5cm/25inches)

Will update on weeks 12 - 16 at the weekend.
