29-6-2009 - Ben 12 - 16 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: Wishing time wouldn\'t rush by so quickly!

I still can't believe that my baby boy will be 4 months old on Wednesday!!! Where on earth has time gone?! It feels like only last week I was pacing my bedroom while I was having contractions. Is it silly that I miss being pregnant?

A lot has happened over the last 4 weeks! James was in a car accident when Ben was 12 weeks old. Some plonker in a van decided not to stop at a roundabout + crashed into the back of James's car! Thankfully, apart from a few aches, James was fine. His car on the other hand..well that was written off! But rather that than somebody injured. Ben also had his second round of injections later this week. He began to regularly sleep through until gone 7am! :) Very happy Mummy + Daddy!

At 13 weeks, we FINALLY managed to do Bens footprints with paint - it was a messy job but luckily the weather was nice so we could get it done in the garden! We didn't do his handprints though..which I'm disappointed about! The little fidget woke up! He started to smile at himself in the mirror this week + also laughed for the first time!! He giggled in the bath when I washed his neck. So special. He's very picky about when he laughs though. It isn't often at all. But we get lots of smiles so I don't mind! We also ended up calling an ambulance!!! The little monkey started breathing really strangely - scared he shit out of me! When the paramedics turned up, he was ok. Must just be a paranoid Mummy!

When Ben was 14 weeks, he began rolling on to his side + at 15 weeks he rolled from his back on to his tummy!! I couldn't believe it..he hasn't done it since though! Maybe he shocked himself! I took him to a reunion meeting with the ladies that I had antenatal classes with back in January. It was nice to catch up + find out how everybody is doing.

Ben had his third round of injections last week (16 weeks). They will be his last until he's 12 months! :) After having him weighed fortnightly up until he hit 12 weeks, I'm now taking him to baby clinic every 4 weeks while I feel I need to. I think I'm still a bit paranoid about him feeding + putting on weight after our 15 week battle with thrush - YES 15 FOOKIN' WEEKS!!! I cannot believe it stuck around for so long. In the end I gave up with going to the doctors + just started googling, ordered some grapefruit seed extract + within a week it had cleared up. That stuff is AMAZING! Now I couldn't be happier to breastfeed. So relieved!

Anyway, I feel like I've gone on enough..
