My mood while writing this blog: Bored without my baby around!

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? Not at all - it was a (nice, but scary) surprise!

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? Nope

3. WHAT WAS YOUR REACTION? I couldn't believe it. I had only taken a test to rule out pregnancy because I felt sick. I didn't even bother to check the test straight away because I didn't think I would be!

4. WAS ABORTION AN OPTION FOR YOU? No. I had an abortion when I was 17 + I have never stopped regretting it. There was no way I would go through it again.

5. HOW OLD WERE YOU? 21 when I found out

6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? I had been out + got very drunk the weekend before I found out. I felt hungover every day that week + didn't think it could still be the alcohol from the weekend. I took a test before I went to uni in the morning + it was positive!

7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? My partner + my two close friends at uni

8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? Not at all

9. DUE DATE? Sunday 8th March 2009

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? A little but it had gone by the time I was about 8 weeks

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? At one point I was eating corned beef (yuck!) with melted cheese + pickled red cabbage after work!

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? Slow walking people in supermarkets + tummy-touchers!!!!

13. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? Boy

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? I didn't mind either way, although I can't imagine having a girl now!

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? Too many! About 3 stone, not sure how much that equates to in pounds!

16. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? Yes

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? It was a surprise, I didn't think baby showers even existed in the UK but my friends through me one

18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? Only anaemia

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? A midwife-led birthing unit

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? From first contraction to actual delivery - about 15 hours. Although I wasn't in too much pain until about an hour before I gave birth

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? My partner

22. WHO WAS WITH YOU IN THE DELIVERY ROOM ? My partner, a Midwife + her assistant

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? Natural

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? Gas + Air - I love that stuff!

25. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 7lb 8oz

26 WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN? Sunday 1st March 2009 at 3.55pm, one week early

27. WHAT DID YOU NAME HIM/HER? Benjamin William

28. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY? 5 months, 3 weeks + 5 days!
