11-12-2011 - Stop growing!!!!!! sad My mood while writing this blog:
sad

So Petunia, (Heather's nickname is Petunia Piggy), turned 4 months yesterday, and I seriously want to cry. My little baby girl is getting so big right now. She has double chins, note the s after chin, rolls on her little thighs, and this little tummy that sticks out. She is longer now, and I swear her head is huge. She giggles and coos, and every now and then I can make her really chuckle. I'm crying while typing this because my little girl is growing up so fast, and I want nothing more than for time to slow down. Don't get me wrong I already spend every waking momment with her when I can. And when I am home with her I am totally devoted to her, but it still seems as though I'm missing so much. The other night I had her in her bouncy chair turned toward the tv so we could watch a Baby Genius dvd. I was on my phone sending a picture of her to my aunt when I heard this loud rattle noise. I looked down at her, and she had the rattle that I put next to her in her hand, and she was using that rattle to hit the toy on the toy bar above her head that she couldn't reach. Where did she learn to do that?!? And she kept doing it. I guess she liked the sound. I'm happy that I had my phone in me hand because I was able to take video of it, but still. I know I should be happy, and excited, but my heart breaks every time she shows me that she knows something new (well with the exception of when she does something that makes me laugh super hard), then I feel sad later. Will this depression go away?

I agree BEEGEE!!! I love seeing him do new things but saddens me at the same time lol xxx

I know what you mean, it's tough. But there are lots of exciting things to look forward to. My 3 year old is an amazing child and, while I miss him being little, I love him being a 3 year-old. He cracks us up every single day. He is so funny!

Ahh, don't feel sad. They go through so many changes and each one brings it's own joy and excitement. You have MANY great things to look forward to as she grows up, and when they start talking it's just amazing! I know what you mean though. When I think how tiny and thin my Isabella was when she was born, and now she too has chins & rolls lol! I just feel proud that it is all down to my milk that she is growing so fast and getting so chunky. :o)

I know how you feel but think of all the laughter she is going to be bringing in the next couple of months to you.

It just keeps getting worse for me, I have to have Kendrick in daycare and I can't be with him all day anymore. I miss him all the time, and he is so big and won't stop learning and doing new things. Just cherish your time with her, they grow up too damn fast.

they get big fast, i cant believe alexis is 12 months already feels like i just had her, everything just flys by when you have a baby...you think you wont forget how something was or how they were at a certain age but i think back i cant really rmember what certain things felt like or what she did a few months ago :( but its fun watching them learn new things they older they get the more fun they get.
