14-2-2012 - 6 months

My mood while writing this blog:
missing her

So Heather is now 6 months old. She has rolled over a few times. She reaches like crazy for things. She can sit up on her own. And she screams (screeches) at the top of her lungs to let us know that she is still there, and I love it! She is still breast feeding like a champ. A few weeks ago we tried adding .5tbs of rice cereal 3ozs of breast milk right before bed. After a week we increased it to 1tbs, and a week later we are at 1.5tbs. She has always slept through the night, but I was trying to slowly introduce cereal in preperation for solids at 6 months. So today was her first day of babyfood. I made sweet potato baby food, and we tried feeding it to her. She was so cute, pushing all the food out of her mouth with her tongue. We will try again tomorrow, at least she got a taste of something different. She is now in cloth diapers, I'm trying the Bum Genius 4.0s, so far so good. I am still totally in love with her. My world revolves around her. I can still cry at the drop of a hat when I think about her and how lucky I am to have her, and how I feel that she will never know exactly how much I love her. She is my baby girl, and I will do anything for her.

It is just such a miricle and so beautiful to have our lil babies. alll that work was worth it.!! Alanna is 6 months too and is rolling over from front to back but only to the right..lol.. she can stand up when holding onto something and has been on solids since 4.5 months. she eats up to 2 meals a day but sometimes only a banana. depend on whats happening in the day. we try our best to have at least one full meal. she is also learning to use a sippy cup. has a couple 'words' mmmmm for milk. and hugy for hunrgy. its osso cute. we are using sign so i hope she picks up soon. her swimming lessons are super fun and she can blow bubbles.. though she dosent do in with her mounth inthe water just above it.lol.i too cry sometimes for the extreme love ifeel. and then i cry for the love i have and ha for our first. it is stil tough on me to think about our first. we will be lokin ginto a taC in the next couple months os i can have anohter bby in a year or 2. :O)

Reading your blog it makes me realise how much babies vary! My princess is 6 months old today, and has been eating solids for over a month. She started waking in the night, so I began introducing food alongside breast milk, and now she's on 3 small meals a day plus milk. She has'nt rolled over yet. When I take her nappy off she will roll her bottom over. She is also nowhere near sitting up yet. I have'nt even started propping her up on cushions yet, so she sits in her bouncer. aww 6 months! it goes by soooo fast! she sounds like so much fun, i miss that baby baby age when they first are learning everything! before you know it she will be off and running!

She is so cute! We feel exactly the same about our little boy. Little things make us teary eyed about him because of all our struggles to get here here safe and sound in our arms. Will you be trying for another one? Think we will try in July for another don't want to wait too long since I am all ready older. Keep us posted on how she is doing!

I know what you mean, I cry all the time just thinking of my son. Sometimes I cry when I hold him cause I love him so much!
