03-11-2008 - We finally told our parents!

My mood while writing this blog: ecstatic!

So I thought it was going to be torture but it went pretty well! Friday night, Halloween We went to my sisters house for trick-or-treating and dinner. We had to tell my parents because my sister thought they would catch on if I was't drinking. So I went out and bought a singing card that said WOO-HOO on the front and Congrats on the inside, it sang some party music and I wrote on being a Mama and Papa again! Love Justin, Tara and Baby! I handed the card to my dad and my mom I gave a box with a little statue of a baby holding a balloon that said Congrats! My mom never wears her glasses and cant read without them thats why the statue. Well I told them they were halloween presents and they were like "oh you didnt have to do that!" lol, so they were supposed to open together but my dad waited for my mom to open first! She held the statue and immediately got tears in her eyes...She knew so I kept yelling at my dad open it! open it! He did and he also got all teary eyed! It was so nice, I had such a good time everyone was so happy and then the questions started! Then my dad had the nerve to say I guess thats what happens when you get hurt in Aruba and can't go out in the sun! We just laughed!!

Last night we were off to Justins brothers birthday dinner. We stopped to purchase a bib or a shirt or a card, but we couldnt find anything and it was getting late so Justin said lets just go! I was like ok but your saying it... I dont want that awkward silence to be on me!! So we went and all night we giggled, he didnt say anything. Melissa my SIL was looking at a catalog and she said to my MIL this has some really nice stuff in it. So my MIL said yea mostly nice baby stuff. Justin started laughing so hard that he almost started crying. This will be the first grandchild for his parents. So we sit down to dinner and as everyone is passing spaghetti and meatballs around. Justin says ma, da, your gonna be grandparents Marc, Melissa, your gonna be an aunt and uncle, can someone please pass the cheese? Lol They didnt even believe him!! It was silent and I couldnt look up from my plate! My mil said when are you due and I said May, my sil looked at me and said wait your serious! We laughed and told them yes! She asked how far along I was and I told her I will be starting my fourth month on wednesday. She said oh, this is so exciting! Then we laughed and joked about the signs no one picked up on and Melissa was like you two have been so silly all night I thought you were just joking! But it was our nerves that made us giggly all night!

It was so much fun! Now I am making a doctors appointment today and then I will begin to tell my friends!
