| 07-3-2009 - Terrible day!! | My mood while writing this blog:Defeated |
Today was horrible!! It all started last night when my husband loaded his truck with tools so he was ready to leave for work this morning a 6 am. Well at around 6:20 he woke me up in tears and said Tara my truck is gone! I got up and immediately started shaking and crying. He went into the garage and called the gate (we live in a gated community) to see what time they came and how come they didn't call to warn us. They said they never came in but they did see them leave. There is no other way to get in aside from an employee entrance around by a dirt road, and that is always locked!! Well whatever, we called the cops and his truck was reposessed. I went straight to the bank that we have the loan through and they said oh sorry that is the collections department and we can't do anything for you. The police station gave us the name of the company that took it and they won't answer the phone or even have a listed address. We drove around the town the cops said it was located and no sign of his truck anywhere. I called in to work and my boss/friend covered the classes I was supposed to teach for today. I did'nt want to tell me dad because, I hate to dissapoint him. Except that my nieces take my dance classes and my parents were bringing them today. I had to call and explain, so I called my mom. I let her break the news to my dad. ughh.
Well anyway our bills are so behind because my husband owns a small contracting business and we live on Long Island. He has worked and worked and one builder owes him over 600 hours of work. Due to the economy and work being so scarce he kept on working in hopes it would all work out with this mans empty promises. Because it is so much money at this point, it can no longer go to small claims court and he doesn't want to piss off the guy in hopes that he will come through. Otherwise it could be years till we see any money.
Oh man! My poor husband feels so defeated and his pride is shot! I feel so bad for him. I am scared to see what else we will lose if that builder doesn't come through with our money. I'm sure my car is next and the kicker is I only have 4 payments left on the thing!!
