12-9-2008 - Need Help Planning Dad's Shower

Hello Ladies..Pray all is well. Well it looks like I am not having a baby shower (long story)..That's ok. I decided on throwing a suprise shower for my Husband..It is his first baby and I want it to be special for him. Has anyone heard of a Daddy Shower? Does anyone have any gift ideas that I can include in the invitation? Please help I am looking to throw the first weekend in October..Thanks Berrymama

About the shower for your husband... my friend did a diaper basketball party for her husband but it was a all guys thing and it was extremely successful = } they have enough diapers for ATLEAST the next year.... or a football shower which ever he likes more remember for the guys to enter the shower they must have a pack of diapers... My co-worker gave her boss when his wife was having a baby a Daddy Diaper Toolbelt. His wore more of a funny thing but it was cute. I believe the toolbelt was from Home Depot and it had New Dad/Baby essentials in the various pockets and loops.
