20-10-2008 - Surprise Induction..Pray for Us

Anxious

Well, No natural home birth for us. I went to the doctor on Friday and found that I was slighlty hypertensive (High Blood Pressure). Normally I am in the 118/60 range, but this time I was 134/80. I knew I had swelling in my feet, but I didn't think much of it because it is normal in most cases. I have been really stressed at work, trying to get things done before taking leave. At any rate, I also had positive protein in my urine. The Doc came in and was oblivious to what I and his Medical Assitant already discovered, so of course I had to educate him. He then immediately sent me to the hospital. We found that the baby has very little fluid around his chubby body. I told the ultrasound tech, that "baby always has the hiccups, So I think he is drinking it and getting drunk." They also stated he was not doing his practice breathing. I have been scheduled to return to the hospital on Monday and expect to be induced no later than Wednesday! Oh what a joy! I am currently on bed rest, which I have not done properly in the last 3 days, I am hoping to do right all day Monday. At any rate Pray for us! We will keep you updated. God Bless!

You are definitely in my prayers! I have been thinking about you anyhow....Stay strong, I'm sure everything will be good in the end...We have made it this far. I've been walking on pins and needles, my pressure is always around 134/80. Take care and I'll stay in touch. (on myspace too)
