My mood while writing this blog: Happy- the temp. outside is double what it was on Monday!!

I just did this on Facebook and thought it would be fun info. for some of the new Moms, and would love to see what some of the second (or third, fourth or fifth) time Moms would fill in yourselves!

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? No

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? No, Joe and I had actually just broken up. I still can't decide if Julia will ever learn that fact.

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? Scared, suprised, pissed that I had to quit smoking.

4. WAS ABORTION AN OPTION FOR YOU? No. Trusting in God's plan seems to work well for me.

5. HOW OLD WERE YOU? 23, I turned 24 at the beginning of the 3rd trimester

6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? EPT Digital. Joe and I laughed about how its made for stupid people because it simply says "pregnant" or 'not pregnant".LOL

7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? Joe. He was there. Then Lara (my best friend from high school).

8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? Yes, I was dying to find out! I still remember that August 20th was the date of that ultrasound. (I will find out the sex of this baby on February 16th).

9. DUE DATE? January 12th, 2004

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? Not really. I felt nauseated after eating most meals, but never actually got sick.

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? fruits and vegtables (the opposite of this current pregnancy)

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? My mother, Joe, gaining weight, strangers. But mostly my mother. LOL

13. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? Girl

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? No. I wanted a girl so badly that I convinced myself she was a boy in order to avoid disappointment.

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN? 55! Then I lost 75 by the time she was 5 months old. Hoping I can do it again.

16. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWERS? Yes. One with family one, one through work, and a huge one with my friends. My friend shower was the most beautiful shower I have ever been to and oozed class down to the last detail. Lauryn (my roommate from college) did such a great job. I still thank her periodically for throwing such an epic party.

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? They were all supposed to be at first, but the only one that really suprised me was the work shower. The only reason I knew the date of my friends shower was so I could drive Emilie (my sister), Anna and Jenny (her friends) out to Lauryn's house. They were only 16 and it was far.

18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? Yes. I was in that stupid women's eval. unit several times with pre-term contractions. They even admitted me once and I was unable to vote in the Bush/Kerry election. I must also add that they began when I was in the theatre with Joe watching the first Saw movie. LOL So I am trying to stay away from psychological thrillers this time around..

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? St. John's Mercy

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? My water broke, they gave me the evil potosin and then I had contractions for 15 hours- after which I only dialated one additional centimeter!!

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? Joe.

22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? Joe, my mom and Emilie were in the room until it was time for surgury and only Joe could come for that.

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? C-section. The Drs said that I may not have that hormone that makes you dialate. For this reason, I will have a c-section this time as well.

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? Yes, the epidural was a welcome sigh of relief. When I first got there, they gave me this IV stuff called Stadol and I don't think I really needed it because all it did was make me feel like I did some crazy street drug. Which was also welcome after 8 months of boring soberity. LOL Am I honest or what?

25. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 7lbs 15 oz

26. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN? December 25, 2004. We tell Julia that we saw Santa and his reindeer in the sky on the way to the hospital. She requests that we tell her this story about once a week.

27. WHAT DID YOU NAME YOUR CHILD? Julia Rose

28. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY? 4 years
