| 17-2-2009 - IT'S A GIRL!! | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
DH Joe, big sis Julia and I went for my 18 week ultrasound yesterday and found out that we are having another girl! I am really excited to have two girls for so many reasons.
Naturally, we were hoping for a boy because Julia is a girl and it would be fun to have one of each. (Not to mention, Daddy loves football, which is not a unisex sport.) BUT I kept saying I really didn't care. And I found out yesterday that I truly didn't, because I am really looking forward to being a "girl Mommy". Everything looks good with both of us and she weighs 9 ounces, with a heartbeat of 141.
We picked out the name Mia Violet a long time ago. I picked a theme for our girls with the first name ending in the letter "a" and the middle name being a flower, Julia is Julia Rose. Hoping we don't have to come up with a third, but I also like Vanessa Lilly and Kira Lilly. That's another thing- a third..
So my husband already said that he wants to "try for a boy" in a few years. I don't want to now, and I don't think I ever will. I am honestly not enjoying this pregnancy at all, nor did I enjoy the first. I kind of feel bad that I loathe pregnancy so much. I know some women love it. I know I was meant to be a Mommy, but that is taken care of already! Does anyone else feel like they practically hate being pregnant? I know there are women who can't concieve that would be so mad to hear me say that- but, sorry, I don't like it. I am glad I did, but don't want to do it again.
Anyway, I am so excited. We can dress them in matching outfits for pictures, and they will both know what its like to have that sister-sister bond. I can't wait!! Dad is a little disappointed, but he will get over it. He loves his little girl and I know he will love Mia just the same.
