24-6-2009 - My body dosen't work!!

My mood while writing this blog: So uncomfortable I need a new word for it

Hello ladies. Hope everyone is doing well. I am so ready to get this show on the road- the heat index in St. Louis is 105 and is not expected to get any better until around the date of my c-section- and St. Louis summers are hot so it is probably here to stay- which is fine once the baby is born, but no fun for now! This is actually my favorite weather under any other circumstances- someday I will tell baby Mia all about it.

My last doctor's appointment was very informative- I found out that my scheduled date is actually July 9th instead of the 10th and get this- my pelvis is too small for the baby to decend. They suspected this with my daughter- I never progressed- no effacement, barely any dialation- I only dialated 2 1/2 centimeters total after 15 hours of potosin!! But it was confirmed with this pregnancy because I am having MAJOR pain down there and can feel the lightening and pressure that is typically associated with a first time pregnancy in late term, plus my doctor said she can see the difference. So my babies try and try to get down there and my bones don't allow for it. Sucks for both of us!!

Thank God for modern medicine and the fact that its 2009- I don't think I could have had babies without breaking my pelvis 100 years ago!! The bad news is that I will have to wait until the 9th unless my water breaks like it did last time. I think Julia was trying so hard to decend that she popped the water in week 37. Hoping Mia will too, because I AM DONE!!!! Julia weighed 7lb. 15oz. and was born on the equivalent of June 29th in this pregnancy..
