30-6-2009 - Ahead of the game or Behind schedule??

O-K!!

37 weeks today!!! Just came from my 37 week appointment! Got my cervix checked for the first time.

Verdict: I am NOT dialated at all but I am 70% effaced and stationed at a -1.

Now ladies, this is where you come in. For 37 weeks is this good? Am i to be in high hopes that shes coming out soon? Or is it looking like she's staying in there for a while? PLEASE help me figure this out.

Doc Says: Just to let you know ahead of time this is NOT going to be comfortable.

I Said: It reminded me of dating boys back in high school :)

Really though, remember how they would always think that they were really getting you off the further they could stick their finger up there? ha ha, ahh memories.

Ok ladies, help me out here!

I wen for my 36 week appt today and I was a little shy of 1 cm dialated and 30% . She said she was touching the babies head but I dont think she was quite engaged yet?? Anyways dr says this is all good for this stage and she would be suprised if I went past my due date!!

same time happen to me i was ahead for awhile in my pregnancy too and eike it was soooo uncomfortable i couldnt sleep cuz of the pains and i had heartburn and chills and omg too muhc was going on but to top it off my baby came like almot 2weeks late they told me that i had to get induce and they set the date for two weeks after my due date they told me like due date are just a guess-ta-ment based on ur period and can u believe it 2 hours before i was posed to be induced my water broke lolz butit just goes to show u that the baby is soo in charge lolz but i wish u luck so u wont have the delayed time with everlasting pain like i did take care hun

You are so funny. I honestly don't remember what the doctor said about the first pregnancy because I ended up being super late anyways LOL

It all depends on baby....I was at 2 cm for a good 3 weeks...but a -1 is good...baby is coming down good...no matter what it's going to be a suprise, hang in there ma!

Unfortunately, every one is different. With my first, I was 1 cm and 100% effaced from 36 weeks on...she was born on her due date. In fact, I went for my 40 week and was barely 2 cm and she was born within 16 hours of that appointment!

So, just hang in there. Good luck!

When my nurse checked to see if my cervix was closed that mess hurt sooooooooo bad.. i was like damn.. what u tronna do?? STICK YO ARM UP THERE? But to answer your question my mom says that sounds normal.
