My mood while writing this blog: Nervous but SO excited |
Damn, its 100 freakin degrees here today. It is NOT supposed to be this hot out here, this is the North West, we dont get down like that :)
So im 6 days overdue today. Over it, SOOOO over it, I'm getting induced tomorrow at midnight so hopefully I will have my daughter in my arms on Wednesday...
I am getting nervous, i was really hoping to start labor naturally and not have to be induced but for any of you that have been keeping up with my last few blogs, we KNOW that my daughter will not come out for nothin on her own so I will be induced. The induction process sounds kind of intimidating, but the end result will be more than I could ever ask for, so hopefully the nervousness will fade...
I am going to try to get as much sleep as I can tonight and during the super hot day tomorrow, and hold on to all my strength for the induction (anyone that can tell me about the standard induction process, that would be great, i'm gonna try to read up about it tonight) I know that its a pretty long process when you start from the very beginning, and thats where I'm at, im effaced 80% or so, but not dialated :(
Moms is coming to town during the day tomorrow and her and my man are taking me to the hospital tomorrow night and they are both staying with me throughout the whole process, then my 3 best girls took the day off on wednesday so they will come down in the morning, then my best friend (godfather of baby) will come late morning as well so I have a great support system in my corner.
My man wants it to just be me and him and baby, but I know for sure I want at least 2 of my best girls there with me, they have been my rock throughout this pregnancy, and as for my mom theres no talking her out of it, since she is grandma she has declared herself entitled to be there and I couldnt seem to change her mind. Oh well, I guess we'll see how it goes and take it from there... I have NO idea what to expect throughout all this, I guess I'm just really nervous and praying that my body cooperates and we bring my daughter safely into this world :)
Thanks for all your support throughout this 10 month and one week process ladies, you all are so great, and next time I talk to you, I will be a mother :)
XOXO!

Tuesday, 28 Jul I was induced. I started out at 0% effaced and 2cm Dialated. The induction started at around 12 pm and I had him at 11:44 pm. Kinda long but it wasn't all that bad. They will give you pitocin(sp?). They will start out at a low dose and increase it every few hours or so. It will all be over before you know it! Good Luck! Jmajor-payne -

Tuesday, 28 Jul Oh sweetie don't worry about it! Just make sure you say YES to the epidural and you'll be fine! I'm not even kidding! With it I just relaxed until they said "push!". I didn't even feel her come out! And with you being induced, they usually give you an epidural as soon as you feel you cannot take the contractions anymore. Good luck! It goes by sooo fast.
Oh and p.s. DON'T be afraid of the epidural, it does NOT hurt, and you could care less if it did once your contractions start. It's the most amazing thing to see your contractions on the monitor but not feel them at all. Medicine has come a long way to make labour easy for us! I'm so excited for you! TONIKA -

Monday, 27 Jul Im sooo freaking excited for you. You have put in work for this little girl and it's about time she come show her sweet little face. Maybe being in the hospital during these super hot days won't be as bad since they will have it nice and chill in there :o) Good luck with everything and I cannot wait to see what she looks like <3 masonnickey -
