Hi Mommies! So, I have been pouting since about 3pm this afternoon. I had my doctor apt and as soon as doc left the room I started balling and now I am just mad. There is NO change in my stupid cervix. I am still a 1-2 cm and 60%effaced. The doctor seems to think I will be over due and on Monday we will be discussing induction. Which totally bums me out. I am still having regular contractions they just aren't causing any dilation and the baby is at a -2. Colin tells me I have just made such a nice home for him he doesn't want to come out! I told him to shut the h*** up! No cervix, no 8lb baby strapped to your belly, no opinion! I know it's all in God's timing and my body will know when the time is right, yada yada yada!! For the love of God baby come out! One thing I have learned through this pregnancy is how bad of a bitch I can really be. LOL!
Oh BabyStanton.......3cm and 100% effaced I am so jealous!! That really is AWESOME and I am praying for you, but at the same time secretly disliking you! LOL. Just kidding I can't wait to see drew!

Ok. I'm officially embarrassed! Thanks for POINTING stupid me to the blog thingie!! (It reminds me of High School when I'd come in late to class!!) LOL!
Do forgive me for going on and on about my VACATION while you are going through this!!
I have read and caught up now. I understand ALL of what you write!!!! Those of us who have had babies before all do!! Everything you are feeling, thinking, even saying, is completely normal!!!! Labor is just that -- a work! Not only of the body, but of the heart and every single emotion God gave us!!! You are doing it VERY WELL Suzanne!!
I remember with Oliver -- I was overdue (for the 1st time!) and had BHCs for just EVER! But nothing was happening!! I went up to his little crib, all ready to receive him but so empty, and just yelled and cried!!!! But you know what???
HE GOT HERE!!!! LOL!!!!
Before I knew it, my water broke at home (a slow leak - I wasn't even sure!) and off we went to the hospital. Hours later they did have to induce me, but it was okay!!! Things got movin'!!!!! Then, the most beautiful moment of all --- there he was!! Face to face with me - in my arms. And he was the most beautiful thing you ever did see!!!! :)
Gone were all my frustrations and impatience and pain! I was swept away with love and contentment -- and complete exhaustion!!! LOL!!!
Presley IS COMING my dear!!!! Hang on!!!! You are Mothering him even now... hang on!!!! God will give you strength. I'm praying praying praying for you!

Oh man, I would be just as angry as you! 9 months and now this! I feel your pain... Start walking up and down staris. When I waitressed women came in (it was a mexican restaurant) and got the spiciest thing on the menu at 9 months to try and induce labor and for some it worked. And well you and your hubby need to get creative ;)
I feel your pain. Induction isnt that bad though. It is a very quick process. It hurts just as much as regular contractions, They all suck. You will be in my prayers. Take care! (oh and we find out May 16th)

Awwww, I still love you. Hey, I am freaking out over here because I can't make up my mind if I want to have this baby yet or not. Do you have stairs in your house? A great friend of mine said that when she was close to having her baby and she couldn't take it anymore, her mum told her to walk up a flight of stairs backwards. As silly as she thought it was, she did it and 4 hours later she was at the hospital. Patrick and I met this woman in the bookstore the other night that told me if I wanted to have the baby early to drink some castor oil. She said that she was 38 wks preggo and couldn't take being uncomfortable anymore so she drank it and within a couple of hours SHE was in the hospital. My next door neighbor told me last night that she did the same thing 30 years ago only she put castor oil in some orange juice. YOU NEVER KNOW. It just might work. (I don't know what it tastes like) but it might work.

I hear ya!
It maybe of no help at all, but I know what you are going through, for some reason some people just get it all, they go into labour early, have a 2-3 hour labour, and then have the gall to say they couldn't really call it pain, while others, go overdue, take ages to dilate and seem to wait forever for the baby to be born.
I only just hope I don't go overdue this time, please Suzanne if I do, can you be there holding my hand over the internet, hehe, pretty please!?
And you know doctors too can be pretty bad at giving sympathy to us, and you get sick of hearing the same ol thing, (and this is one of my pet hates), 'the baby will come when it is ready', you honestly feel like throttling the next person who says it, lol!
Lets really believe that you won't need to be induced, lets pray, and anybody who reads this pray also, that little Presley will make his own time into the world withut you having to be induced, and that it will happen very soon.

It is the end and you just want your baby, simple.
So Presley, I want a private word with you if I may..... Come out please, And a separate word to your cervix, get bloody dilating!!!!!!! lol It is time!!!!!
Keep going girl, you are doing such a great job. I have heard that on the first time, the cervix can be slow dilating, because it has never done it before. I was in slow labour for quite a while with Alexandra, Until eventually everything went mad and my body realised it had to get a move on lol !!!! It will happen, and when It does you will be ready and waiting!
