30-4-2008 - Presley's First Doc Apt

My mood while writing this blog:
Tired!

Hi ladies! FYI Birth story is up.

Yesterday was Presley's first doc apt and things went great! He is already 9lbs 1oz! Usually babies lose weight, but not my boy. The doctor was seriously amazed by him. He said he thought he was coming into see a newborn not a 2 month old. Presley is already lifting his head and eats a full 3oz each feeding. Presley also sleeps a full 5 1/2 hours a night, which is great for me. We are still struggling with my milk production so we are supplementing and I am pumping every 3 hours. I hate pumping! My nipples hurt and look like something out of a national geographic magazine. I am still so tired and my privates are sore. I tore inside and then had an episiotomy.

God Bless you every second of your life that Presley is sleeping well! Girl, that is awesome news! My sister said that the pumping thing will get easier as it's really new right now. Mr. Presley is so handsome. How is Colin doing? Over the moon I am sure.

Hi hun, I read your birthstory, it was great!
Presley sounds like my last boy, he was born 8lbs 15oz and he averaged a pound a week after he was born, he never lost weight and I had the most milk I have ever had, he just was a hungry baby, hehe.
Thanks so much for updating on your page, we love to hear your updates, I know Gina and I are always hanging out for the next one.

I loved reading the birth story!!! He is a hefty and healthy boy!! I bet you are sore "down there!" they should have given you some good meds for that though,

The pumping thing was hard to get used too... My nipples turned into craters and I was shocked at how much a nipple can stretch when that pumps sucks them! Anyways- I am still so happy for you! God Bless!

Just read your birth story, sounds like an event!! Im so pleased that you have you little man here and that he is doing soooo well. And the sleeping Wow that is just amazing. I hope that you are getting chance to heal yourself. It is pretty uncomfortable after giving birth, I remember I was shocked with Alexandra just how uncomfortable I was after giving birth, For some reason I just thought I would be as normal lol!!!
I can feel from reading your blogs just how truly happy you are and that is just wonderful! I am soooo pleased for you, enjoy each and every second.

Anyways I will leave you for now, and look forward to speaking to you when you get the chance! I know how hectic life must be, what a contrast to 2 weeks ago eh when you were saying that you were just ready to have your little man, and you were just waiting around!

LOL!! I can just see him! He is here and obviously taking well to his world!! :) And what a blessing for YOU that he is sleeping!!

I am already dreading the sore nipple thing and have laid up Lanisoh (?) cream. I have never pumped before and am not inclined to begin... we will see how my plans go! :)

Now I get to go read your birth story.... Yeah!!!
