17-6-2008 - Ahhh... Week 12, how I've longed for thee...

My mood while writing this blog: Happy and yet...nauseous

Wow! Week 12... how I have longed for you and yet how reculsive you have seemed. It is surprising how nervous you get as you approach the 12 week mark, especially if you have had the misfortune and the strength to have survived a prior early pregnancy miscarriage. As I have... and as many of the strong woman I have come to know on this website have too. And now that I am here, I am feeling a mixture of emotions - definitley happy, a little suprised ( I realise now that I have spent some time over the past few weeks waiting for the other shoe to drop if you know what I mean), and still a lot nauseous!

Apparently this will subside soon... can't wait! Ermmm.. the nausea not the happy- oh you know what I mean! Tomorrow I am off for my first scan, which I am equally parts nervous and excited about. My husband and I have been wondering what it will look like and how we will know that everything is normal and going well. I told him that if the technitian runs screaming from the room then that may be a sign that things aren't going so well... thoughts? :-)

One week away from the 2nd trimester - closer to realising my dream of being a mum and watching my hubby be the fantastic father I know he will be. So my mood for this blog - definitley happy...yet nauseous!
