18-7-2008 - New Pics and Update

My mood while writing this blog: Very Happy

Hello All....

Well...that was fun...I just finished typing this rather long update and then I hit the backspace key to correct a spelling error and what do ya know? The whole page cleared!!!!!! GRRRRRRR. Like I have all the time in the world to retype. LOL

How come there is no icon for exhausted? That is what I am....exhuasted and happy...so lets go with the happy.

I'll make this brief. Anelise weighed 6 pounds 14 oz at the Drs yesterday...she gained 22 oz in 17 days!!!! No wonder with the way she has been eating!

Today starts a brand new day as for her meds and whatnot. She is off of caffeine and iron. In a couple weeks she will have more blood work done to make sure her hemoglobin stays up, and she can pull from her own iron supply.

The next monitor download will be Aug 4th and if that goes well...she may be off of it by mid aug. Her last download of 29 days had 12 bradycardia alarms...but keep in mind, she was not even technically born yet. Now that she is truly 3 days old, she will be evaluated as a newborn and will start to grow and behave like a true newborn would. We had no apnea alarms.

We just need to get her eyes taken care of. Dr said it can take up to 10 weeks for her retinas to mature. So we keep on pushin on!!
