October 22, 2007 Ultrasound 10:30 am & Dr. App. 10:50 am (13weeks +1day)
-in the room: me, Brandon, and his mom.
-FHT: 162 bpm :)
-Length: 3 inches
-EDD: April 27, 2008 (by U/S)
The
baby was very mellow in this ultrasound and pretty much stayed in the
same position the whole time. The baby had its arms crossed behind its
head and feet crossed at the ankles. It looked like it was swaying in a
hammock. :) PerFecTion :) The tech said the heart rate said girl, but I said the baby is in BOY positioning. lol

Full body shot with ankles crossed
You can see the arm and finger bones
Continue to the Dr. App. . . . .
-weighed: 195 lbs (down 3 lbs) total of -10lbs
-bp: 118/84 (meds are working)
-urine: neg
-FHT: 162 bpm (by doppler)
Everything looking good. The doctor was mostly impressed by the blood pressure :) We did all my prenatal labwork today, Ill get those results later. Im still puking quite a bit though.

November 12, 2007
I was leaning against the wall at work when all of the sudden I felt a flutter. I stopped and stood completely still, "did I just feel that?". Then it did it again, "There, there". I knew it! Those couple movements is all it took for my body to remember my first pregnancy. I then preceded to skip down the hall. :)

November 19, 2007 Dr. App. 10:40 am (17weeks + 1day )
-prenatal labs: normal range

November 24, 2007
We had just came home from another Thanksgiving dinner. I plopped myself onto the couch when...bump...bump...bump...Brandon felt the baby move for the first time :)

November 25, 2007 ICC 1:30 pm (18 weeks)
I woke up with a severe headache. After taking tylenol with no relief I was scared that my blood pressure may be out of control. So I went to the Immediate Care Center.
-weighed: 202 lbs (up 3 lbs) total of -3
-bp: 124/70
It was automatically figured out that my blood pressure was not causing my headache but another case of severe sinusitis. They quickly put me on an antibiotic before my asthma became involved. I was scared because I had stopped my asthma medication because the effects on the baby are still unknown. I got my fingers crossed.
**new symptom- I was sitting in a warm tub tonight and I have officially started lactating . . . lol**

December 6, 2007 ICC 6:00 pm (19weeks + 4days)
I was at work and as the hours passed I started feeling worse. I was having hot and cold flashes, dizziness, coughing, etc. I decided I needed to go back to the dr.
-weighed: 202 lbs (same) total of -3 lbs
-bp: 124/80
My blood pressure remaining good was one thing that made me happy, but I was told that I had relapsed into my sinusitis. Unfortunately my asthma came with it this time. I had gone into bronchitis. So the dr flat out told me that I needed to be put on more antibiotics, new inhaler, and my breathing treatments at home. I told her I was scared for the baby's sake. She replied with "your not helping the baby much by not getting enough oxygen either". So I am starting the medicine.
**new symptom- I have officially felt the baby kick with my hand on the outside :)**

December 9, 2007 ICC 6:00 pm (20 weeks)
I left work early because I was wheezing really bad and going into some severe breathing issues. I went back to the dr AGAIN.
-bp: 160/94
-O2 sat: 92%
-CBC: within normal range
My oxygen saturation was alot lower than they wanted to see so they made me take a breathing treatment in the office. Than 15 minutes after the treatment the dr came back to listen to me and made me take a second treatment. The dr told me I was working on a PNEUMONIA and I started to panic. She put me on more inhaled steroids and referred me to pulminologist.

December 11, 2007 Pulm 12:15 pm (20weeks + 2days)
-weighed: 202 lbs (same) total of -3 lbs
-bp: 134/76
-O2 sat: 94-97%
The dr said the antibiotics have finally taken an effect. She said the bronchitis sounded almost completely cleared up and what was left was all my asthma. She gave me a new regimen of medications to take throughout the rest of my pregnancy. She also told me an interesting fact:
1/3 or women with asthma get better during pregnancy
1/3 of women with asthma stay the same during pregnancy
1/3 of women with asthma get worse during pregnancy
and they have no idea why...go figure?
**new symptom- My back really aches when I get off work now :(**

December 27, 2007 Ultrasound 10:00 am & Dr. App. 10:40 am (22weeks + 4days)
-in the room: me, Brandon, my mom and my sister
-FHT: 150 bpm
-weight: 1 lb 3 oz (55th percentile)
-EDD: April 23, 2008 (by u/s)
Baby
was already head down in a vertical position facing my backbone. We got
to see the brain function, the 3 vessel cord, diaphragm, etc. You could see
hair and see the baby sucking on its fingers. Because of the
positioning of the baby we weren't able to see the spine and parts of
the heart that they wanted to see. They will schedule another scan. Since this was the week of Christmas they decided to show us one more thing. . . .

Well thats self explanatory :)
So it is now very apparent that the heartbeat test doesn't always work. Also everyone in my family was wrong about the sex lol. I had a dream a couple weeks ago that it was a boy that made my mind wander.

Continue to the Dr. App. . . .
-weighed: 204 lbs (up 2 lbs) total of -1lb
-bp: 140/90

-FHT: 150 bpm (by doppler)
The
Dr. stated that since my blood pressure has been consistently higher
than it should be another scan would of been inevitable. Because when
your blood pressure is elevated and your blood vessels are constricted
blood and nutrients don't flow as easily. By doing another scan we will
make sure the baby is growing the way he should be :) But at the time being he is absolutely normal :) I'm so happy!

January 21, 2008
