April 14, 2008 at 1:39 pm -- my heart grew bigger

*Home From the Hospital*
weighed: 7 pounds 9 ounces ( 51st percentile)
length: 19.5 inches ( 39th percentile)
head circ: 36 centimeters ( 78th percentile)
development: April 18, 2008- first sponge bath and he loves his swing.
They were a little worried because Sean lost a whole pound since birth and he was a little juandice.
They have me supplementing him with formula until my milk finishes coming in. I was really surprised to how he did once we came home. He was doing the opposite of what was expected. They told me he should urinate alot and poop often. He did that backwards. Than I was so worried about his weight that I set an alarm to make sure he would get all his feedings at night. Thats right I woke the baby up to feed him. lol He also received his first hepatitis B shot they day he was born.

**I made it 3 months, 1 week, and 5 days**
5 days old

*Week 1*
*April 21- 27*
(Dr visit April 21 at 1:30- 1 week check up)
weighed: 8 pounds 5 ounces ( 71st percentile)
development: If we dont change his diaper fast, we all get a bath!! We have had trouble this week with his bottom being red. We have been caking on the desitin and baby powder but it still stays red. He poops constantly, I know thats the problem.
Thank goodness he has regained his weight back QUICKLY! Thanks to my milk coming in the doctors are off my back and I have stopped the formula. They made me strip him down and he peed all over the doctors office! What can I say He's a boy! He was still a little juandice but they said it would get better with time.

*Week 2*
*April 28 - May 4*
(Dr visit May 1 at 10:30 - projectile vomiting)
weighed: 10 pounds 7 ounces (93rd percentile)
development: May 1 - lost his umbilical cord, moved up to size 1 diapers, and found out he is lactose intolerant.
Sean has been a very good baby and surprisingly calm (unlike in the womb). He just started projectile vomiting this week, it was crazy! He was shooting across the room. He became very fussy and I am worrying about colic? The doctor obviously was not too worried about the vomiting because he has gained quite a bit of weight. So pyloric stenosis is not a worry!! He told me to stop eating diary products and see what happens. Also gas drops have become our new bestfriend :) **UPDATE**- it worked! He also had his first Kentucky Derby on May 3. He was a good luck charm cause we picked the winner!! He also went to Mommies work for the first time and got shown off.

*Week 3*
*May 5 - 11*
development: May 5 - Sean has really been gaining a personality! He has been smiling quite a bit and really following you with his eyes. He likes sitting up in his bouncy seat so he can see what is going on. He is very nosey
May 7 - He has been giggling in his sleep, so sweet! He can also put a good amount of weight on his legs when you stand him up. He is holding his head up for a good 15 seconds before headbutting you.
May 9 - He loves being sung and hummed too and I CANT SING lol
May 11 - His first Mothers Day with MOMMY!! They made me my favorite omelete and baby Sean does not tolerate eggs very well either :(
