| 04-2-2009 - Family Movie Night | My mood while writing this blog:Lovin It |
For us this takes place on Tuesday Nights.
It is also pizza night. I make pizza crust out of whole wheat flour and then put whatever toppings we want on it. We have salad and tea as well. On occasion, I have made magic milkshakes, chocolate chip cookies, or root beer floats. If we are not too stuffed full of pizza, then we also have air popped popcorn! Yummy!
This is a time that we all look forward to. I am asked several times during the week if it is "family movie night". It is a very special time!
We are very careful of what our children watch, and family movie night is no different. If it is not a movie that Josesph and I have viewed and OKed, then it is not watched as a family until we have. We choose movies on NetFlix to be watched online, or we watch some that we own. Lately, we have been watching some of the Moody Science videos that the children got for Christmas. They LOVE these!
The memories being made on Tuesday nights with my family, are such sweet ones!
(I made pizza this past Sunday for the Super Bowl, so last night I made "green" hamburgers(yes, green), and oven baked french fries. It was my first time to make the "green" hamburgers, and they were very delicious! So what exactly are "green" hamburgers, you may be asking yourself? They are hamburgers made with pureed spinach! I had no idea that they would actually stay green after they were cooked, but they did and tasted very good! I also pureed a carrot and a stalk of celery, chopped some onions, added some bread crumbs, two eggs and some spices. They were soooo good! I have some left over "green" meat that I am going to add a can of tomato sauce to for meatloaf muffins for tonight! We are trying to eat more spinach and I am finding so many things that I can add it to, besides our salads, and my children love it as much as my hubby and I do.)
