25-11-2008 - First OB Appointment/New Due Date

I had my first appointment yesterday, and I believed I was 8 weeks and 5 days along, according to my calculations. When having the ultrasound, I learned I was measuring only 7 weeks along, but was reassured to know the baby is alright by seeing and hearing a steady heartbeat of 150. Because I am so early in my pregnancy, the baby was a little blurb on the screen which is different from when I saw my son's first ultrasound at 10 weeks along, where he was a defined little human with a big head moving all around. I am a little discouraged to repeat two weeks, but I really am happy to know that everything looks okay with this pregnancy. Hearing and seeing the heartbeat brought a lot of joy and peace for my husband and I. My new due date is July 14, instead of July 1 like I thought. At least I know I am definitely having a July baby!
