30-6-2008 - 33week update and hospital visit

My mood while writing this blog: dizzy/crap

well where do i start, over the weekend i have been feeling really light headed and dizzy and genrally feeling crap, it got so bad last night i thought i was gonna pass out when i stood up, i went to bed and had a crap night sleep and still felt no better this morning so i decided to go and see my gp, i got an appoitment and went up there after taking courtney to school and explained to the doctor (who was lovely) what had been happening, she checked my bp which was high and my urine was showing 3plus protien, not good should have none there at all so she listened to jessica heart beat and decided she was refering me to the fetal assesment unit (fau) at the hospital, so i take myself of to fau and when i got there they check my urine again still showing 3plus protien and put me on monitor they keep me on the monitor for a hour and a half and it was great to hear jessica heartbeat for that long, they checked my bp a few times and first time is was still slightly up but then it went down and they also took some blood, so i now have to do a 24hour urine sample starting in the morning and go back to fau on wednesday and on wednesday they will check my bp again and my blood results will be back aswell they will also send my urine away for testing, they said my signs r that of pre-eclamspa but they need to be sure so i have been told to stay home and rest and take it easy and if my symptons get any worse b4 wednesday then i am to go back or if jessica movement slow down i am to also go back. the doctor said they will see me every week now maybe twice a week and i am not to go back to work so i have now finished work under doctors orders.

the doctor has also told me to drink lots and lots so it looks like more toilet trips for me.

i am still feeling really light headed and crap but am gald that i have been and got checked out, so my plan now is to chill out and take it easy and rest.
