So, apparently the day my husbands company "let him go" 2 really interesting things happened. One, a mom on this site sent a link for a job posting that she found on Monster.com. It just so happened to be MY HUSBANDS JOB!! Nice, huh?? He kind of thought it might be coming because the territory wasn't doing well. It was due to too much competition in the Chicagoland market. His company was always $10,000-$20,000 more than the other companies quoting. Their a pretty cheap company, bad pay, pathetic insurance and so forth. How low though to just dump him like that and play it off like that. Anyway, the second thing that happened was one of their distributors/competitors called Paul on his work cell phone which just happened to be in the hands of Pauls' coworker/friend Chad (he's covering the territory until the new person is hired). He told him that Paul had been let go. He (Brad) immediately asked for Paul's home number. Chad gave it to him and he called here offering Paul a job. So, after some deliberation Paul decided to take it. It's the same base pay with a little smaller compensation package but hey, it's a job and with the new companies prices being so much lower and them always winning the jobs due to that his commissions should be much better. Stickin it to the old company, right?? His boss commented to Paul that day that he hoped they weren't making a mistake letting him go...........hmmmm..............

You know in that scene in "Pretty Woman" where Julia Roberts is going into that hoity-toity store in Bev Hills and they quote, -won't serve her kind cuz she's a street glrl-, then she goes back in all newly done up with expensive clothes and they are flocking her to get her business and she says how she was there the other day...then she says "big mistake.....BIG!" Well, that is what Paul will end up telling his old company! haha. What a mess! But it sounds like he landed on his feet for sure! Good for you guys! *Whew!*
