My mood while writing this blog: Blessed |
Well, I still have one big little baby on my hands! Jack went for his 9 month appointment this morning. He was off the charts in all categories...26 lbs, 31 1/2 in for height, and a 19 in head! Our doctor told us to start whole milk at 11 months, so I guess I'll only be breastfeeding for just a little bit longer (I'll do some bfing and some whole milk that month to slowly introduce it). Oddly enough, it makes me a little sad...but it will definitely be more convenient!
Jack finally started to crawl about a week ago. He had been REALLY close for a couple of weeks but wasn't ready to commit to it until a week ago. He crawled "normally" for a few days, and now crawls with one knee and one foot (we think he's doing this because he learned to crawl on carpet, but we have hard wood floors...). He's not walking yet, but he LOVES to hold onto your hands and walk around (now he just needs balance!) He is waving (both full arm waves and opening and closing his hand), he knocks when you tell him to "knock knock", and he does "SO BIG" with his arms! He does lots of babbling, but coming from a speech therapy background, I'm not convinced he's saying what I would call a word yet! He is still such a sweetheart, but I think he's going to be very stubborn! I think that's about it in a nutshell! Hope everyone is doing well!

Friday, 31 Jul BIG BOYYYY!! lol...He's a doll baby :) You can tell he has a sweet disposition by his smile!
So you can start weaning in about a month or 2? That's got to be bitter sweet. Let me know how it goes...our babies are growing up. Have you thought of any ideas for a 1st birthday or trick or treat yet?
