24-7-2008 - 24 week update

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

I went to the doctor yesterday, and all looks great! The doctor said he's pleased with the heartbeat, my blood pressure, my weight, and the urine test. So far I've gained 16 lbs total (maybe 3 lbs this month--I really thought it was going to be more because this little guy seems to be getting bigger by the day!) His heartbeat was 160 bpm. LOVE hearing the heartbeat!

I'm feeling him move A LOT, and at this point, you can see it from the outside (unless of course, he kicks elsewhere--like a shot to the ribs! Fun!) :) It brings a smile to my face everytime I feel him--it's just so amazing (even if it is to the ribs!)

Well, every few weeks I feel like my ribs won't expand fast enough (and that they are being pushed out--just not enough to fit it all!) Luckily, it only lasts a day or two, but it surely is uncomfortable while it lasts! Overall, feeling pretty good! AND I just started working out again (slowly), but I've felt so much better!

We've gotten/been given a bunch of stuff for the baby--My aunt gave us their old crib, changing table/dresser, and nursery decorations (ALL of them!). I got some of the basics that I didn't think I would get at a shower at a HUGE kids consignment sale they have twice a year. I have a little bit of clothes and some other things (I'm trying not to go crazy--as it turns out I probably won't be working part-time after he's born as I originally thought!) That's about all of the updates I can think of!
