11-12-2009 - Week 17 check up

My mood while writing this blog: Excited!!

Yesterday was my regular check up at the doctor's office (I am was 17w 3d yesterday). Everything was great!! I have officially gained 7 pounds to date. The doctor said weight gain at this point should be between 5 and 10 pounds, so I am right on target. I had lost weight in the beginning due to severe morning sickness, but now I'm past all of that and things are back on track. My blood pressure was great again (110/62) and I'm feeling wonderful! We heard the heartbeat right away and the doctor said it sounded good and strong. They didn't tell us how many bpm it was this time, but it doesn't seem to sound as fast as my daughter's always did. Guess we'll see!

Before we left, the doctor gave me a referral sheet to go have my big u/s. I called and scheduled it the minute we got in the car. We are going to find out whether this little angel is a boy or a girl on TUESDAY!!! Yay!! I'm so excited I can hardly wait! Only 4 more days until we know (well, assuming the little peanut is cooperative)! I'm sure the weekend will fly by because I have TONS of stuff to finish doing to get ready for Christmas. Come on Tuesday...get here already!!! :)

I'll be sure to update when we find out the sex! My next regular check up is on Jan. 6th! Hope everyone is doing well and gearing up for a great holiday season!! :)
