My mood while writing this blog: Tired, achy, and......tired |
We have been trying to think of names for our son for quite a while. We have a first name (and of course the last) but in my husband's family the boys get 4 names, a first, two middles, and the last. Girls get three because they pick up their third when they marry. It is twice as hard to pick two middle names. We keep getting stuck and since we are trying to pick family names on top of it, it doesn't get easier. My MIL keeps getting suggestions that drive me crazy, and are stupid ones anyway.......She named two boys of her own, then changed their names when she divorced their father (it removed his father's family names and replaced them with her family names). She has done enough naming.......
Anyway, we are at a loss as what to pick for his middle names, or even whether to break tradition and not do the four name thing at all, and we are running out of time. There is a good chance I may not even make it to my c-section date of the 25th now. I am SOOOO miserable right now and I ache all over my belly and my back and feel so nauseous. Add to that the twitchy, climbing the walls, wanting to dig a hole somewhere and nest feelings that are driving me crazy and I am more than ready!!

Wednesday, 16 Sep Hey M, miss you. I know that what ever you decide will be great. I know that we have been discussing these names for as long as I can remember, but even if you don't decide on something right away, You'll know when you see him. I'm so excited for you. I'll have to have Sean wheel you down so I can see you both. Love you guys. kickboxerbaby -
Saturday, 12 Sep Trust me I understand. My MIL feels the need to be way to involved as well. It's a constant everyday thing. She even thinking of taking early retirement so that she can help with the baby. (I already have two I really don't need any help) When it comes to the names it's about what you feel is important to you and your husband. Don't let any one else decide for you. Your son deserves recieving a name his parents chose together. Shellie77 -
Saturday, 12 Sep Think early next week!! lol Theres still a chance we can be at the hospital together!! hehe I really wanted Brendan to choose Lightfoot (his middle name) as one of Sebastian's middle names, but he didn't want to do that. I like Lightfoot since it's a family name for him, and Wesley is a family name for me. But he chose Leto... claire louise -
Saturday, 12 Sep Oh I really hope you pick the names soon. It does sound hard having to pick so many names I'm having trouble with a first and middle name myself. Good luck.x
