09-6-2009 - The first Doctors appointment

My mood while writing this blog: confused

Just been to the doctors-appointment number one.

Went in, told him i was pregnant, he took my word for it, took my blood pressure..it was fine gave me leaflets and told me my scan would be when im 12 weeks and that my midwife would be assigned to me and would be intouch??

Random!!

Was in there for about 5 mins overall and although i pleaded for an early scan he would only let me have one at 12 weeks unless i rang up in the mean time and had bled?? Hope that never happens!!

Neway thought id let you know how it all went.

Im feeling less ill today, not felt sick much still congested with a headache and sore BB but other than that im enjoying getting little jobs completed on the house :)

Wow. Not until 12 weeks do they want to know anything? That's kind of weird. I hope you don't have any reason to go in earlier, but doctors need to understand that pregnant women worry!

They didn't even do a health history or anything? I have an entire appointment to take my history and address concerns and questions, bloodwork, etc and they say it is a LONG appointment! I am so hoping I don't have to wait until 12 weeks for my US but I won't find out until my appt when I will actually be getting one, I am crossing my fingers for 8 weeks! Glad you are feeling better today!
