10-7-2009 - First Midwife Appointment

My mood while writing this blog: feeling a lot happier

Been to see my Midwife today, had masses and masses of questions, blood and urine tests and then sent on my way... still not heard the heart beat, or had a scan, got 3 more weeks till i get to see my little bubble!

Cant wait, at least i have seen SOMEONE now, in England you really feel left until the docs think its worth seeing you and your pregnancy is well established...Suppose if u were to loose it they cant do anything about it but for those who need some kind of confirmation of being pregnancy or that it is doing well, its a VERY long wait.

Anyway im 9 weeks prego tomorrow and had my first really sick today-yippee, all must be well. A nice tuna baked potato came right back up (Sorry tmi) but at least i know bubble is well as i spent the first half of the week with all my symtoms disappearing!

My scan is on the 31st July, so only 3 weeks to wait!dont no about any other appointments i just want to see my bubble is well.. i no it makes sense with money and stuff for them to only see you after a certain time but its still pretty annoying to know that that is y you are on your own!

yay on the sick up lol, like u said at least u noe alls well :)
im in aus n the drs r the same, i cant book in2 the hosp til im 9 weeks coz of the risk of m/c coz like u sed they cant do anything, but it sucks....
ill be ringin the hosp in a week :) whens ur next appt??

I hear ya on the disappearing symptoms. I haven't been tired in a couple days. Makes me so nervous! Good luck in 3 weeks. Can't wait to see the pics :)

Thanks guys, yeah im sure 3 weeks will fly, im suprised how fast the last 5/6 weeks have gone since i found out. Cant wait till the first trimester is OVER!! bring on August, when im a little more in the clear than right now x

Hi, congratulations! i am also from warrington cheshire but i am now week 30 with my first baby, i felt the same as you at the beginning a bit abandoned by the midwives and not sure what to do or not to do hope everything goes well.

I'm from the UK and know how you fell! I'm now almost 20 weeks and have my 20 week scan this Monday :) YAY. 3 weeks till your scan will pass by at a speedy rate.

yay! i'm glad you are good and sick! hahaha :) I feel so gross all day long, and think I am so ready to feel good again, but the moment I don't feel sick anymore, I start worrying and wish I was! We are weird! lol. Hope your next few weeks go fast!
