| 25-11-2009 - Crossing my fingers | My mood while writing this blog:happy!! |
Today the hubby and I had our apointment with a fertility specialist/reproductive endocrinologist. It went VERY WELL! He went over everything thats gone on in the past year of TTC and set up a plan for us. 6-10 days after AF gets here, I am going to go in for a HSG. Hopefully my tubes are not clogged up. If everything looks good, we start the fertility drugs again and will be doing an IUI. This time I will be on Clomid, Follistim and Ovidrel. I'm kinda scared to inject myself but I guess I have to do it! We were going to do the 1st round of fertility drugs in January BUT my brother is getting married December 4, 2010 soo..... we are thinking about doing it in April/May instead. I cant be 9 months preggo (I'm in the wedding) and we dont want to have a 4 week old baby to take to the wedding either. I guess we have waited this long, whats another 4 months? :-) This will be 100% out of pocket for us as our insurance does not pay 1 penny for fertility treatmens or meds of any kind. But, since we have been putting $ away every month in the baby fund, enough is there to cover it all. Wish us luck and super sticky baby dust!!!
On another note, hubby has been going to a male fertility specialist and he reccomended surgery for him or we needed IVF due to his sperm issues. He said hubby had vericoles (?? sp???) too many or too large veins in the baby making area which hurt sperm. We were both not sold on either one of those options. hubby would have to take off 4 week of work to recover!!! My fertility Dr. today looked at hubbys sperm analysis (we had 3 done) and is very confident that his sperm are just fine for an IUI and we most likely will not need IVF THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!! Hubby also had seen a urologist about his vericole problem and he said he didnt have it and didnt need surgery.... so.... always get a 2nd or 3rd opinion.
