12-5-2009 - I hate being so irritable!

My mood while writing this blog:

Ok...i have been so irritable for like 2 or 3 weeks now! It's like everyone just gets on my nerves! We decided to name our son Trace Cosmin Maday. My Hubby has always wanted to name his son Cosmin so i let him use it. He's going to be called Trace & everyone is flipping out about his middle name! It's not their baby! It's just a middle name! How often is he going to use it anyways!? I always try to please everyone & just let everything go if someone does something i don't like, but it's like now that i'm preggo, i just don't care about pleasing anyone and putting up with everything. I don't care about pissing someone off if i say something back to them. I'm still restraining myself though. My MIL the other day kinda made me a little mad. I love her to death & she hardly ever does anything that irritates me, but i had not seen her in about a month since we moved. We went over there for Mother's Day & she said she could tell that i've lost weight! I told her that i haven't lost any weight whatsoever & that i have gained a lot of weight! She asked me if i was eating & saying i better be feeding her grandchild ( in a joking kind of way..she wasn't being mean). Hubby said she said stuff to him about it also! The only reason she thinks i have lost weight is bc she always sees me in big tshirts & sweat pants bc that's all i wear & that day i was dressed up wearing a tighter tank top. So of course i'm going to look smaller when i'm wearing clothes that actually fit me instead of baggy clothes! It just irritated me bc she was implying that i'm going to starve myself & my baby so i can lose weight! I told her i eat all the time & i haven't lost any weight & she still said something to my Hubby about it after we talked! I get irritated at Hubby a lot also. We haven't even been together a year & i know all of this happened really fast. I'm freaking out bc i want him to grow up more before the baby gets here. He still likes to go to the bar sometimes & stuff like that. He still kind of acts like he's a teenager sometimes. I just want to know that he will be grown up enough to have a baby & take all of his fatherly responsibility....Gosh this is a lot of ranting babble...sorry everyone who actually reads this whole thing! I just get so angry & irritated so fast now a days & i don't like being mad all the time...i want to be happy all the time...

Omg everything you said is so ME! Its like I nit-pick to find reasons to get mad at my husband and MIL. She had the nerve to throw a tantrum when she found out we picked Kay as a middle name, because her ex-husband's new wife's middle name happens to be Kay as well. I went off, and didn't spare feelings at all. Lord be with us!!!!!

I've been extra cranky this week too so I completely understand. As far as the name situation goes, I think it's great that you're using a name that your husband loves. As long as you two are happy, who cares. It's not their baby. It makes me glad we're not telling anyone the name, I know my family is going to hate the middle name since it's from my husband's family! My husband still wants to go to the bar alot and I'm trying to take it easy on him and let him go whenever he wants. I know that once the baby comes he'll take all the responsibility he needs to. It's a big change for him too.

You are not alone! I have been down right b*tchy. I don't know if you saw my Mother's Day rant, but it's definitely getting to us all. There is so much going on with our hormones and inside us. I am sure that most of the time you are grumpy for good reasons. We just also make our selves feel guilty for those feelings since we want our baby's to feel happy. It's a lot to take in. It's hard to be changing so rapidly and watch your hubby not. That's how I felt too. It took my Hubby like a year to start getting it sunk in. Still I think that our lives are more impacted than theirs by the babies we have. Still being pregnant again makes me want to smack the crap out of him a lot. So the best I can say is I am hear as an ear or a shoulder anytime. Oh and about your MIL, I am thinking that she is TRYING (not succeeding) to show you that she loves you and the baby and she wants you both to be healthy. In many cultures it is considered rude to not feed a pregnant woman that comes in your door. It's in our programing to want to help feed the baby? I don't know. I see why it hurt your feelings. I am sorry, and confident your baby is healthy and strong!

I feel you girl! About everything. Me and the babies dad have only been together about a year..everything was sooo fast...And now i'm agonizing over every little thing he does wrong. Also, I HATE people who always feel the need to give their 2 cents on everything. Which is the exact reason we are not revealing our daughters name until she is born. I don't need one more thing for people to pick at.

I am the same way!! SOOOOO Irritable! I feel bad for people around me because they never know what might set me off! We just bought a house so we have a lot of financial stress right now as we wait for closing... and I am Not handling it well AT ALL! Oh well, soon enough we will have our house and our little bundle and i can relax again... well... sorta, lol
