23-6-2009 - life updates...

My mood while writing this blog:
exhausted

I'm 27 weeks & 4 days! I'm still in shock somewhat that i made it this far. It's still unreal to me that i'm going to be a mom! I am so scared, but i can't wait either! His name is Silas Maday. We still don't have a middle name. He moves around all the time. My boob leaked the first time Saturday night. I hope it doesn't keep happening though. It hasn't since then. I've been having pains at the very bottom of my belly. I hope that's nothing to worry about. I have stretch marks on my belly :( BOO! I knew for some reason though that i would get them so i'm ok as long as they fade fast after he's born. I've already gained about 40lbs. I'm huge it feels like. My feet swell up sometimes. It was bad this weekend. I can't wait till we get another u/s. We plan on getting a 4D one! I have my glucose test on July 6th. I hope that goes well. I have been extremely tired the past 2 days. I hope that goes away. My baby showers are July 11th & 12th! I'm so excited to get a lot of little baby stuff! We get to fix his room up after the showers too! It's going to be so cute! I'm going to get a job about 2 months after Silas is born. I'm going back to college in January. I still have NO clue what i want to do though. I have always wanted to do something that helped kids or animals. I thought about social work, but i've heard it takes up a lot of time & i still want to have time for my family & things. I want a first shift career with weekends off. A Monday - Friday 8-4pm kind of career...i don't know. I guess i have time to figure it our...Hubby & i are still doing good. I hope it stays that way. He's going to a new job July 2nd so i hope he likes it better there than he does at his current job. Anyways...that's all i can think of right now! Everyone have a great day!

All of that sounds great!! Well except for the being tired that sorta goes with the whole pregnancy thing though. I am glad things are going well. Maybe a dental hygienist? They get paid REALLY well, the schooling doesn't take long and the hours are set.

I was just browsing the blogs and came across yours. I am a social worker/case manager for kids at risk of being placed outside the home. I wanted to let you know that in some positions you can get lucky and have more set hours. I don't work weekends and can be flexible with my schedule as I need too. I love the work I do and the kids benefit from having someone in their lives. If you have a passion working with kids go for it!!
