13-7-2009 - Showers, nursery, & updates...

My mood while writing this blog:

Well, I haven't had time to get on here in a few days. I had my side of the family's baby shower Saturday. It went ok. Not very many people showed up bc some were out of town & some forgot, but oh well. I got a new camera that I really needed! I got blankets & stuff like that too, so I was happy about it. Hubby's side of the family baby shower was Sunday. It went much better. There were a lot of people there. I got a lot of stuff. Pretty much everything I needed. Everything looked great there too. Today, I washed all of Silas's clothes, blankets, carseat, etc... everything! I put his crib bedding on & got everything ready to be put up. I still have to wash out the dresser drawers before I put the clothes & stuff up. I'm doing all of that tomorrow. I'll get some pics up tomorrow or Wednesday. We have to put one more coat of paint on the changing table. We have to get some shelves also & put the stickers & decal things on the walls. I will take pics when the whole room is done too. I hope it will be done by this weekend, but it won't be completely done for a while. I'm so excited though! It looks so cute :) I'm so excited & can't believe he's almost here! Hubby is getting a motorcycle tomorrow. He was supposed to get it today, but the guy wasn't there. He wants it bc it will save us gas money & so i can have our good car here with me. We have an suv that's great & we have my old crappy car that is about to fall apart so he wants me to have the suv instead of him having to drive it to work all day just in case something happens & i needed it. I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'll post some pics asap!

I am so happy that the showers provided you with the things you needed for Silas. Also, glad to hear that the transportation issue is being worked out - as we too are down to one good vehicle and one not so reliable. Tell your hubby to be careful on the bike and to wear protective gear - my DH was in an accident a couple of years ago and that stuff really protected him from more serious injuries. Hope you have a GREAT day and that you are feeling well.
