22-7-2009 - Dr. Appt.

My mood while writing this blog:
very tired

I had my dr. appt. today & it went well! I could have went ahead & gotten my blood test done today instead of next week, but it took them over an hour at the dr. appt. & i had to pick Hubby up from work so i didn't have time. She said i gained 8 lbs! I can't remember what the number was, but maybe i have the last appt. wrote down somewhere so i can figure out how much i've gained so far...I pre-registered at the hospital today too. It only took a minute & i went to the L&D floor & got a few free samples & magazines. I got a list of classes i can take too. They have breastfeeding, cpr, prenatal class, tour, etc. Those are the only ones i'm interested in. The prenatal is free & bf is $10. I plan on taking those 2 in August. I already know the cpr so i'm just going to read up on it to make sure i remember it well. I want to take the tour also sometime. There is a lullaby club there that everyone is signed up for ir you pre-register. They play a lullaby throughout the whole hospital when your baby is born. You get free parking tokens, gift shop discount, & free take home dinner for 2. I also got a birth plan form to get that started. It asks a lot of questions & gives you options that you can choose as many as you want. I hope it all goes well. I think i'm going to start packing my bag tomorrow. Just some things i know i won't need till then. I'm not really going to pack till i get a little further along...well i jsut thought i'd let ya'll know how things went! Thanks for reading!

What a great blog entry. Glad your Dr. appointment went well - I figure next week I am going to have a big weight gain, as my belly sure is growing. I love the lullaby club and that they play it when a babe is born - how sweet. Great prices on the classes, mine were much more expensive. Take care of yourself.

The hospital sounds cool! I keep forgetting to go pre-register. I need to write it down on my calendar or I will keep forgetting! I forgot to ask how many pounds I had gained since the time before. I saw how much I weigh but not the pregnancy count. I am 259!! Yikes!

Your hospital sounds amazing! I don't get to see mine until Aug 8, when we have a full day class and a tour then. It definitely does not have all of those perks though. And you should take advantage of those classes, especially because they are so cheap. Our one day class is costing us $80.

that sounds really neat. When I pre-registered I didn't even get to see labor and delivery or find out any info. It was such a letdown.
