29-5-2008 - TJ FETAL ECHO RESULTS AND UPDATES

We finally got some good news yesterday.. See, our son had already been diagnosed with Down Syndrome and my rare skin problem (which causes the skin to rip due to being fragile and infections too) Via Amnio.

We were waiting on the results of his fetal echo to see if he was one of %40 of babies with D/S who have heart problems. So far the prognoses is that his heart is GOOD..they think IF he has a heart problem that it's TINY and will heal it'sself, but they're not even sure he does.. WOOHOO FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS!

I went to my new OBGYN in Loma Linda hospital here in Socal. He has EXPERIENCE delivering babies with EHK, as well as mom's with it. Which is a HUGE blessing. We've never had a doctor where we didn't have to explain about EHK.. Finally things are looking up.

Also today I had my Glucose test to find out if I have Gestational Diabetes... I had to drink a nasty orange drink with 50 grams of sugar in it! They told me I didn't have to fast for the 1 hr test, and if I needed the 3 hr test I'd have to fast anywayse. I won't get the results of the test for a few days, but I was fasting anywayse.

The drink tastes like a defrosted otterpop (orange flavor) but a little fizzy. And she gave it to me COLD, a few minutes after I drank it TJ started moving like CRAZY... flipping and rolling and kicking. I actually got kicks in my ribs today!

Hopefully here in the next few weeks I'll be feeling him move on the outside too. I'm about 6months 1 week. Also, my baby shower is set for

Saturday, August 2 at about 5pm. Here at a local pizza place. I've got like 40ppl to invite! My mom is throwing the shower, but since my step dad died recently, I'm making most of the arrangements. it's been decided that I'm having a COed Shower, and my mom thinks it's "Wierd" but she's not as "up with the times"

I asked my MIL (mother in law) if she could come and she made up this lame ass excuse about having a dinner at the library to attend. Mind you this is 2 freakin months in advance that I'm asking her if she can go!!

UGH it pisses me off on that.
