10-7-2010 - *sigh* people are weird

My mood while writing this blog:
Happy! But Hot.

Well my little man was born on the 6th July 2010. He was 2 days overdue, which was fine by me, I didn't want him to come on July 4th anyway lol. It has been so weird with him here, seeing him in person, being able to hold him, stroke his hair and face, even change his diaper. I enjoy all of it, even the crying when he's hungry. I've still not let anyone else really hold him, except his father anyway. People think this is wrong of me, I'm not sure why, I mean he's my son and he's my first.. Why should I share him just yet? He's only 4 days old!!!
Tomorrow will be the first time going to Church since he's born and I'm really scared. I mean, a lot of people have been waiting for this to happen, and want to hold him and hug him and snuggle him and I don't know if I'm ready to let people have him yet.. I don't feel safe, even though most of them there have their own children and I trust them, but I can't let them hold him, what if something happens?? It would be my fault because I let someone else hold him.. But people keep telling me that I'm being selfish and I should share him, I should want to scream it from the roof tops that I had my baby, but honestly I don't.. I wanted to keep him a secret, but MIL went and opened her big mouth, and wont ignore questions, because she thinks it's lying to her friends.. So now everyone pretty much knows.

4 days is a little soon to be taking him into a setting where alot of people are going to want to be holding him and passing him around. people may have colds and things :(. you may want to hold off on church until he is a little bit older and his immune system is stronger and it gives you an excuse to keep him to yourself longer too :) you need to feel comfortable with people holding and passing your baby. if your not ready your not ready and people will just have to understand

First of all, congratulations on your baby, he's so amazingly cute even I want to hold him haha. Maybe skip church this week if you're still uncomfortable having others hold him. That way you won't feel either obligated or awkward. You just had a baby, tell your mil you aren't up to going out or taking baby out yet.
