my youngest son jack dad walked out on me when he found out i was pregnant and has never bothered with him apart form a 30 min visit in hospital 3 days after he was born, so he has never had a daddy and has been asking why his 5yr old brother connor has a daddy and he doesn't. (very hard to explain that daddy doesn't want you so have said nothing.
i met my current boyfriend nige in may and fell pregnant almost immediatly and he's since moved in with us and now jack has started calling him daddy, he gets so excited when ''daddy'' gets in from work and runs straight to him to give him a kiss and a cuddle.
nige is over the moon and really wants to be jacks daddy (as well as connors daddy, but he knows that connor has his own daddy and is under no pressure to call nige daddy although he does occasionally)
i just wanted to share this as i'm so happy that my children feel comfortable enough to call him daddy and now it feels as though we'll be a proper family once bubba arrives.
