11-12-2009 - early scan

My mood while writing this blog:
dunno

well i've just got back from my scan, doc's thought i was about 7 weeks gone but i'm only 5, saw the sac and yolk but nothing else...is this normal for 5 weeks???

dont worry , very early days, my hosp dont do scans till 7-8 weeks. nothing really to see, heart beat cant be seen till about 7wks usually

hi, i can 2 early scans. One at what i thought was 6 weeks and i saw a yolk sac and gestational sac and so they said come back a week later. They said i prob just missed seeing the fetal pole and heartbeat by a few days. I was really nervous after that. So therfore i went back at what i thought was 7 weeks. They done a scan and put me back to 6 weeks two days and i could see the fetal pole and heartbeat.I looked it up lots and they said that normally the earliest you see anything if from 6 weeks but for some women its still weeks after that. some places don't scan till 7 weeks in a bid to not cause worry should people not see what they want. So chin up, what you saw is normal xx

hey hun i had a scan around the same time wen i was preg,it is normal not toreally see anythin else as its so small, have they said to go back in a cple wks for another? thats wot idone n they seen the heartbeat that time. hp that helps a bit xxxx
