| 07-6-2009 - My First Pregnancy Blog | My mood while writing this blog:Happy and hungry |
So, this is my first ever blog so I thought I'd better start writing sometime before my due date.
My name is Clarice, I live in the midwest and I am 20 weeks, 1 day pregnant). This is me and my boyfriend's first child and we have been together roughly 5 years.
The weeks leading up to now have been pretty much great as a whole but tought at times.
My first pregnancy symptoms mirrored those of the flu so I just passed it off as being sick and went on with my everyday happenings. Then the swollen, sore boobs and headaches started. Next thing I knew, I was falling asleep at 8pm every night and completely exhausted when I woke up in the morning. By this time I started to suspect somethin was up and I took a pregnancy test on Feb 10th, 2009 because I had noticed some very light pink discharge (sorry if it's TMI ladies!). The test was negative but I wrote it off as maybe a little too early to be testing. After all, Valentine's Day was that weekend so I wanted to make sure I could drink wine at our dinner or not lol!
Soon after my boobs started hurting unbearably and my appetite started picking up immediately, along with the unbelievable exhaustion. I work full-time so falling asleep at work started to make my co-workers suspicious, lol. I'd say from weeks 6-9 I experienced morning sickness and it started to taper off, but came back with a vengeance at week 13, ugh. I thought that part was over! Nope, here at week 20 I still get a few yucky moments, but I haven't thrown up this entire time, thankfully! I'll do another blog to include my symptoms and such because I'm sure we all have some crazy ones to share. Til next time, ta-ta!
