24-8-2009 - Almost 8 months TTC

My mood while writing this blog: sad/angry

It's almost been 8 months since my husband and I starting to try and conceive. Ovbiously there has been no luck yet! I have PCOS....I was told I had it when I was about 14 years old, I didnt ever get a period and started to become very nervous that I would get it. Then I didt, I was sent to a pediatretian who put me on progesterone, then I had my first period. At the time I dont thing I realized how serious this was going to be I had asked if I could have children they sayed you dont know until you are trying. And I dont know about all of you but I just thought maybe I will be lucky and I will get pregnant. I love children and so does my husband we have always known we wanted children, 3 to be exact! I was then put on birth control at the age of about 14 or 15, I was on it till I got engaged to my husband , I was 22. In the time of being off the pill I had 3 periods in a 13 months. A months before we got married, I went to my doctor and said I wanted to conceive right away, he pretty much said good luck if not see you in a year.....Month after I was married still no period for a long time and I went back to the doctor. He then realized he should send me for some tests. I have had high cholestrol in the last couple years..and they couldnt figure out why someone my age that is realitivly healthy would have this issue..I have now found out it can be a side effect of PCOS. In the end of all the blood work, I do not ovulate at all. I'm now seeing a fertility specialist, about a hour away from where I live. Im at the moment taking 3 pills a day of 850 mg, of metformin..I have stomach aches all the time and diarrhea 4 times a day..on the up side im sure i have to be losing weight..sorry if some of this is too much info. But you got the point..
