21-2-2010 - 18.3 weeks/update

My mood while writing this blog: Still shocked

So there is still something in there growing! I had a docter's appointment and I was 18.3 weeks pregnant. I have gained 4 pounds in 4 weeks, im very satisfied with that! Uterus is measuring what it should blood pressure was good. I have now cut back to McDonalds to once a week, its my treat that I love since I have been pregnant. I didnt really like it when i was not pregnant. New cravings are cherries, that are super hard to find at this time of year around here. I'm also enjoying bbq corn chips that old dutch makes. Things that i didnt really eat before hand. The babys heart beat was 155bpm. I have a ultrasound on March 4th, thats in a week and a half..hope we get to find out what it is so I can start to buy some clothes.

I went to the city and picked out the paint colors for the room, basing it on a toy that I had found that I liked. But when I went to paint the color didnt really turn out for what I had in mind. ugh.....I will have to figure something out to make it all work.. I have also bought some blankets for swaddling the baby that are made outta hemp. My mother inlaw paid for the stroller that I had picked out..Its a valco with the three big wheels I love it. I got it in chocolate brown, it matches my dog and my house hahaha. We have also bought one pack of newborn diapers and wipes. I have ordered my car seat offline from the store i got my stroller, they say it will take 3 months to get it..Good thing I did something ahead of time.

This is a very overwhelming experience there is so much stuff to get and to get ready...Im also still working full time. I work out of my home, I have a salon in my basement and im very busy, hoping to work up until 35 weeks since i will not get maternity leave.
