The Rice and Diaper Pins Game

Take a large bowl and half fill it with dry rice, then take a pack of small gold colored diaper pins and mix them in with the rice.
Then each guest in turn whilst blindfolded has to find as many diaper pins as they can in one minute. Make a note of how many safety pins each guest finds.
The guest who can find the most diaper pins in one minute is the winner. This is a harder game to achieve then you may think as the safety pins feel very similar to the rice when blindfolded.
Be sure to replace all the pins in the bowl of rice before each guest takes part.

Don't Say 'Baby' Game

Give each guest a clothes pin (or possibly a diaper pin) when they arrive at the baby shower and ask them to pin the clothes pin to their clothing either on their shirt or hem of their skirt.
The object of the game is not to say 'baby'. If a guest hears another guest say the word baby then they can claim their clothes pin.
The guest who collects the most clothes pins is the winner.
Set a time limit of half an hour for this game so that people can relax after that.
This game is a very good way to get baby shower guests who do not know each other or do not know each other very well to chat.

Another variation on this game is for guests not to be allowed to cross their legs or ankles for half an hour. If a shower guest sees another guest crossing their legs or ankles then they can claim their clothes pin. The guest who has claimed the most clothes pins in half an hour wins the game.

Guess the Candy in the
Baby's Bottle Game

Purchase some jelly beans or other suitable small candy and also a baby's bottle. Fill the bottle with the jelly beans counting them as you do so.
Ask each of your baby shower guests to take a guess at how many jelly beans there are in the baby's bottle and write down their answer on a piece of paper.
The guest whose guess is the nearest total of jelly beans to the correct answer wins.

Teenage fumblings

Again this games' best for a mixed sex party (ideally) and only for 'good friends'! Blindfold 2 guests and stand them in the middle of the room facing each other. Attach 5 clothespins on each player in strategic places. The players must then search the other player to find the clothespins. Whoever finds all 5 first wins. It's camera time

Pudding Game

Buy or make pudding cups for every guest. Pair up guests. Put a trash bag over each of them. Sit them opposite eachother. Give them one cup each and a plastic spoon. Blindold them. Each couple have to feed each other the pudding as fast as they can. The couple who finishes their puddings first wins. Best done over a vinyl floor or outside!

Baby's Portrait

Give each guest a paper plate and a crayon. Get them to place the plate on top of their heads and draw a baby. Everyone votes for the best picture.
