04-2-2009 - Week 31

My mood while writing this blog: Sick and upset

07:45 am - very very warm in Cape Town.... urggggg....

Goodday ladies

so my 31st week of pregnancy sucks big time, I feel as if I have been hit by a train and no1 bothered to help me .

so I went for my 31week check up and doc checked my blood pressure and so on and he took a urine sample and spoke to me about delivery and I asked if I could have an epidural... he also gave me the option of having a c-section... I'm still thinking about that. so anyway as I'm about to leave he stops me and tell me to come back because he detected sugar in my urine, so he did a tiny little blood test and as right as rain my blood had a bit too much sugar in it, so now he put me on a strict diet, no bread, no sweeties, no soft-drinks and so on.. not that I drink soft drinks, but that was kinda upsetting.

Then since it was our 1st anniversary Hubby and I decided that we would go out to supper, but then I felt sooooo sick I started getting a really bad headache and my tummy was aching like crazy but we went out anyway, I sat at the resturant with tummy ache and all and wishing i could go home, well I didnt eat my food so hubby said lets go home, as soon as I got home I went straight to bed and during the night I had a slight fever, thought I was dying, so hubby took me to our family doc and he did a good inspection, he found that I had a tummy bug and a throat infection, so he gave me some mild medication and put me off sick so I could rest for a few days, so today I'm back at work and I'm still not better I feel worse, but instead my boss is being horrible about unfinished work and not taking into account that I am really sick and I am not faking it... so uncalled for!

So I am having a very crap day so far... through all this, doc said baby is doing fine and he did another tiny blood test and found my sugar to be normal, so i need to watch what I eat anyway and further on I have a scan scheduled for saturday .....

So Like I said week 31 is not treating me too well, lets see what week 32 has in store and hey guess what... My morning sickness is worse now.... great.
