My mood while writing this blog:
thankful

Little Child

The bond we share was formed
The first time our eyes met
I knew at that moment
We'd begun a path I'd never regret

Through days and long nights together
Filled with tender moments, laughter and tears
Our bond has grown stronger and stronger
One that will last beyond the years

At times I doubt my ability to mother you
My capacity to give and love
But your faith in me seems endless
No doubt a gift sent from Heaven above

You're mama's little angel
A piece of Heaven to hold and touch
Never in my wildest of dreams
Did I imagine I could love someone so much

I cherish each smile and laugh
Each gurgle, bubble and grin
Your light shines so brightly
Eminating from within

I find myself continually in awe
Of your ability to learn and grow
Rolling, crawling, standing and walking
I've been there through it all

And now as I watch you sleeping
Your contented sighs bring a smile to my face
As I listen to you breathe
I bask in all your grace

So many adventures await you
My dear, sweet little child
I hope the roads are kind to you
May the bumps and hills be mild
