Coming softly to your darkened room
Watching your beautiful smile as your dream
It is at that exact moment I get such a chill
Words all fail to describe this mothers love
There is just so much I hope for your life
As I give a silent prayer for your safekeeping
Knowing the responsibility is overwhelming
And I welcome any assistance from above
I watch as you sleep so sound
Wishing I could take part in your dream
And wonder if maybe I do enough for you
Hoping you know my only wish is your happiness
There is just so much ahead in your life
For a moment I wish you could always stay as you are
But I quickly return to the present
Giving thanks for such a wonderful moment
Watching you sleep brings such peace to my heart
My life has been blessed with so much love
And now this love shall continue on
As I allow myself one more angel kiss
