| 08-4-2008 - Then Til Now | My mood while writing this blog:happy... moody... |
On March 11th the day after my daughters 4th Bday.. I went to see the Gyno about my irregular periods.. they had gone from a normal 28 days apart with regular ovulation to a whopping 45 days apart, and sporatic ovulation.. My husband and I decided in Dec we were going to TTC, but my cycles started the irregularity in Sept.
So on March 11th I went to my appt and of course the first thing they do is take a pregnancy test. The nurse wrote negative, and the doctor came in to check me over. Told me to maybe lose a few pounds.. stress could be causing my irregularity, or the fact that in Sept I took the Plan B pill and the over dose of hormone could have put things out of whack.. he did a check on my cervix and uterus.. told me things are fine and if my cycles didn't straighten out by my next Annual then we could do further investigation. I get dressed and I am about to leave when he stops me.. "Wait! We are going to do another pregnancy test!" I guess after the background had cleared the positive line had shown up.. So they did another test.. and YAY!!! it was a BFP... I was shocked, I definitely wasn't expecting a positive pregnancy test... (I did take a test the next day at home.. just to confirm my beliefs..)
Went home told my husband and father in law.. and called my mom of course.. We had a trip planned to see my sister and mother in law in Nebraska.. and decided to wait till we got there to tell them.. Other than tender breast.. so symptoms yet.. From the 16th to the 22nd we were in Nebraska.. also my spring break from college.. The following Monday i started back to class and work.. and Morning Sickness kicked in bad... it wore be down.. Suddenly all day.. I felt so queasy.. couldn't eat.. would fall asleep anywhere....It has been like that ever since...
Except the past couple weeks I have been having crazy vivid dreams.. getting up in the middle of the night to pee.. not sleeping well.. bloated.. OMG I am soo o bloated.. my food is taking days digest... so the one meal that does sound good to eat sticks around for a day.... I have had a couple days where I felt ok.. but if it isn't nausea it is a big fat headache..
When I was pregnant with my daughter the only thing wrong with me was sore boobs... that was it.. about week 10 I had a day or two of nausea.. but nothing else.. I literally ate everything in sight.. and felt fine.. other than crazy high blood pressure that I had to keep track of... but no other major problems...
My guess is this is a little boy and he is making himself known.. I can't wait to meet him/her though..
My daughter is really excited.. the funniest thing..If I start to gag or heave.. she will yell "Is the Baby coming out!" Cracks me up.. she is just excited about being a big sister.. and I keep telling her, that this is her baby, and she is going to have to be my big helper.. I know she is going to be wonderful..
My husband... well he is getting the brunt of weeks of fatigue, nausea, and sleeplessness... I told him that his part in the pregnancy is learning to deal with me and my mood swings and ailments.. He is such a wonderful man, but it is such a big change it takes some time getting used to...
Well that is about it.. Today.. is well a queasy day.. and I am choking down some water and ginger tea....
Until next time...
